  • 1 1/2 ounces premium reposado tequila (Patron, Herradura, or similar)
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce agave syrup or simple syrup (optional)
  • Coarse salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wheel or wedge for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate.
  2. Moisten the rim of a rocks or coupe glass with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into the salt to coat it.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the reposado tequila, Grand Marnier, fresh lime juice, and optional agave or simple syrup.
  4. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
  5. Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail over the ice.
  6. Garnish with a lime wheel.
