Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces medium pasta shells
  • 2 cups diced ham, cut into small cubes
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • ¾ cup baby peas
  • ¼ cup cup thinly sliced green onions
  • ½ tablespoons chopped fresh thyme


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and granulated sugar. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Pour salted water into a large pot and bring it to a boil. Cook the pasta al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta using a colander or spider strainer and let it cool on a baking sheet.
  3. In a large serving bowl, combine the drained pasta, diced ham, cheddar cheese, red bell pepper, baby peas, and green onions.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Finish off with a sprinkle of fresh thyme.

Notes

Feel free to customize the salad by adding other vegetables or your favorite herbs.
For extra flavor, let the salad chill in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving.
