Ingredients
Scale
- 6 tablespoons water
- ¼ cup freshly-squeezed lemon juice
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon fresh lemon zest
- ½ cup milk
- 4 ounces white chocolate, finely chopped
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 28 to 32 store-bought ladyfingers
- 1 (10- to 12-ounce) jar lemon curd, DIVIDED
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine water, lemon juice, sugar, and lemon zest, whisking until dissolved.
- Simmer the mixture for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the syrup thickens slightly. Set aside to cool.
- In a separate bowl, melt the finely chopped white chocolate with milk until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually combine the white chocolate mixture with the cream cheese until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
- Begin layering by dipping the ladyfingers into the cooled lemon syrup, then arranging them in a serving dish.
- Spread a layer of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers followed by a layer of lemon curd. Repeat the process until ingredients are used up, finishing with the cream layer.
- Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Notes
For added zest, garnish with lemon slices or additional lemon zest before serving.
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother mix.
